The Tenafly Chamber of Commerce is searching for Bergen County's next sports broadcasting star!
As part of our FIFA World Cup celebration, we're inviting youth and teens ages 9–17 from across Bergen County to compete in the 2026 Search for Bergen County's Next Sportscaster for a chance to win a $1,000 Cash Prize and earn local recognition for their talent.
Whether you dream of being a play-by-play announcer, sideline reporter, sports analyst, podcaster, or content creator, this competition is your opportunity to showcase your skills in front of a live audience and panel of judges.
Who Can Enter?
Any Bergen County resident between the ages of 9 and 17 who has a passion for sports and communication.
No professional experience is required—just enthusiasm, creativity, and a love of sports!
What You'll Be Judged On
Participants may demonstrate skills including:
Play-by-play announcing
Sports commentary and analysis
Athlete interviews
Sideline reporting
Sports storytelling
Public speaking and presentation skills
