Tenafly Came Alive at the Night Market: A Community Celebration to Remember
Tenafly, NJ - Downtown Tenafly came alive on May 16th as thousands gathered for the award-winning Tenafly Night Market — an unforgettable evening that transformed Washington Street, W. Railroad Avenue, and Tenafly Road into one giant community celebration filled with food, music, dancing, family fun, and local pride.
Produced in partnership with T.H. Experiences, the Tenafly Chamber of Commerce, and the Borough of Tenafly, the event once again proved why it has been named “Best Special Town Event” by Best of Bergen two years in a row.
From 5PM through 11PM, the streets were packed with energy as guests explored more than 70 varieties of food, outdoor bars, shopping, live entertainment, giveaways, community activations, and family-friendly experiences around every corner.
The MK Valencia Outdoor Bar became a central gathering place throughout the night, serving craft cocktails and artisan mocktails under the open sky while live music and DJs kept the crowd dancing late into the evening.
Families filled the streets enjoying everything from the Kaplen JCC Kids Zone — featuring carnival games, prizes, and nonstop activities — to the interactive “Building Community Together” activation hosted by presenting sponsor The Orly Chen Team. Children, parents, and visitors of all ages enjoyed hands-on activities, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with local organizations and businesses.
More than 30 local businesses and community nonprofits participated throughout the evening with shopping, giveaways, prizes, and interactive experiences that highlighted the incredible spirit of the Tenafly community.
A crowd favorite was the 360 Photo Booth sponsored by Tenafly Veterinary Clinic, where guests captured memories from the evening, while the movie-in-the-park experience sponsored by the Tenafly Police Department brought families together under the stars for a showing of GOAT.
The event also featured important community resources and outreach efforts including the Bergen County Outreach Vehicle, TVAC, and a Vitalant Blood Drive, giving attendees the opportunity to give back while enjoying the festivities.
A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of special recognition to the Tenafly Chamber of Commerce by Congressman Josh Gottheimer, honoring the Chamber’s continued commitment to supporting local businesses, strengthening community partnerships, and creating impactful events that bring the community together.
The entertainment lineup kept the atmosphere electric all night long. WFDU 89.1 FM hosted music and live requests throughout the event, while performances from School of Rock Cresskill, Revolution Dance Academy, and Cre8tivity in Motion energized the crowd. Mayor Mark Zinna and Councilwoman Jenny Jackson welcomed attendees before Side Hustle took the stage with crowd-favorite hits from the 80s, 90s, and today. The evening closed with a massive disco dance party hosted by DJ Juano that had downtown Tenafly dancing in the streets until the very end.
Most importantly, the Tenafly Night Market showcased the power of community partnerships and the importance of supporting local businesses while creating meaningful shared experiences for residents and visitors alike.

The community can now look ahead to another major downtown celebration this summer during the FIFA World Cup Viewing Weekend taking place July 18–19, which promises even more family fun, live entertainment, food, activations, and community spirit in the heart of Tenafly.
